Scholarships for Engineering Students

ACEC of Wyoming and the University of Wyoming College of Engineering and Applied Science have enjoyed a long and mutually beneficial partnership aimed at assisting the students and enhancing their academic experience.  ACEC of Wyoming scholarships have been awarded to engineering students for over thirty years.

In 2002 the Member Firms of ACEC of Wyoming established the ACEC of Wyoming Endowed Scholarship Trust Fund at the University of Wyoming.  The fund has grown steadily over the past ten years – both through earnings and continued contributions from Member Firms – and this growth supports the increase in both the number and the amount of scholarships awarded each year.  Currently the Scholarship Committee – comprised of representatives of ACEC of Wyoming and college faculty – awards four scholarships ranging in value from $2,000 to $3,500.

The following students were awarded scholarships for Academic Year 2014-2015:

  • Chelse D. Felts, Petroleum Engineering, Cody, Wyoming
  • Brent M. Forbis, Chemical Engineering, Riverton, Wyoming
  • Nicole E Peterson, Civil Engineering, West Des Moines, Iowa
